Jared emigrated to the Netherlands at the end of April 2025. Read more about the first experiences of Jared.

Jared, why did you emigrate to the Netherlands?
My wife and I love to travel, moving to the Netherlands has given us the opportunity to explore and travel to so many countries in Europe. The Netherlands is also a beautiful country which is a bonus.

Can you tell us something how you do like the Netherlands?
Living here has been amazing, the people are great and the transportation system is very efficient. The biggest difference is not having to drive everywhere you go, you simply take a train, tram or even just a quick walk to anywhere you need to go.

Please tell us something about the projects you are currently working on.
I’m currently working on multiple BI projects, some relating to Warehouse data and some in the energy industry which is something new and I’m beginning to enjoy working on different projects in different industries keeping things interesting and less mundane.

Did the process of emigration go smoothly?
The process was quite smooth and simple thanks to summit developers.

Can you explain to the South Africans who are considering to go overseas how you did experience the support from us?
Matthijs and team were very helpful and efficient, I would definitely recommend their services as they managed to do everything that is needed with little effort from my part.
