Hi Eben, when did you arrive in the Netherlands?
My wife and I arrived in November of 2022.

Does it feel like home?
It is starting to, especially after arriving back from Spain or Germany!

Do you still live in the same house as in the beginning?
No, we bought a house in Ede in December 2023. Initially we rented an apartment in Veenendaal.

How was it to learn the language? Was it easier or harder than expected?
Dutch is a lot easier when you speak it at the office, you wouldn’t believe how much you actually pick up!

What do you miss most about South Africa?
Biltong and rumpsteak!

What appeals to you most in the Netherlands?
Service delivery in general, but oliebollen is what I need right now.
