Cleo Muller

Cleo lives in the Netherlands since January 2020. She came together with her partner Chad.

Cleo, why did you emigrate to the Netherlands?
It has always been a goal for me to move to a different country and when this opportunity came along I could not refuse it. Safety and also just a better lifestyle played a big role in this decision.

Can you tell us something how you do like the Netherlands?
I love the Netherlands. I think the biggest difference is the fact that we are able to walk everywhere without having to worry about not being safe and also that everything is automated or you can do it yourself. E.g when grocery shopping you can do everything yourself, scan your own items pay for it and pack it. You do not need to wait for a cashier! I know right, mind blowing!

Please tell us something about the projects you are currently working on
I worked on a project for a company that creates sheet metal software for nesting, punching, lasering, cutting, milling and bending of metal.

Did the process of emigration go smoothly?
summit developers took care of everything. The most we had to do was get our documents from home affairs, pack and get ourselves on the flight. At one point I thought is this too good to be true, because everything went so smoothly.

Can you explain to the South Africans who are considering to go overseas how you did experience the support from us?
The support has been AMAZING. Matthijs, Ton and Paulien have been there every step of the way and they still are, not only from a work perspective but also just general things that we need or want to know they assist with. If you are considering making the move I wouldn’t think twice about it.
