Christiaan le Roux

It was October 2022 when Christiaan le Roux arrived in the Netherlands. He wrote about his first impressions.

Christiaan, why did you emigrate to the Netherlands?
I decided to emigrate to the Netherlands to start a new future, in a country where I can feel safe, and where I can not only grow my career but myself as a person.

Can you tell us something how you do like the Netherlands?
I love the Netherlands, it is a beautiful country with wonderful people. It has been quite a journey where I have felt safe and welcome during the day and night. The Dutch people in general have also all been wonderful and friendly.

Please tell us something about the projects you are currently working on.
I am working at a client of summit developers, my client is Unexus. I am fulfilling a role as a Support Engineer.

Did the process of emigration go smoothly?
The entire peocess went quite quick and smooth.

Can you explain to the South Africans who are considering to go overseas how you did experience the support from us?
I have received a lot of assistance from Matthijs, Ton and Paulien, they have not only been supportive in helping me finish all the admin work, but also made me feel welcome! They have been very supportive and also understanding! They have truly made the entire process a wonderful one!
